The FX Cruiser SVHO is Yamaha's flagship for all those who want both on the water: Top-level performance and long-distance comfort without compromises.

Topics in this article

It is technically based on the FX SVHO, but comes with a few extras that make it even more attractive for longer trips - especially when travelling in pairs or threes. The cruiser is powered by Yamaha's most powerful engine: a turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with around 250 hp.

The motor responds directly, pushes powerfully and offers plenty of reserves - whether for pulling tubes or simply to put a big grin on your face when accelerating on flat water. Despite the power, the handling remains controlled at all times, even in waves.

A hull for high cruising speeds

The FX hull is long, stable and ideal for high cruising speeds - Yamaha's NanoXcel2 material saves weight. The large deck is a real plus point on longer journeys: there is enough space for moving, stowing and sitting. The three-stage contoured seat bench is typical of a cruiser. It not only offers more support, but also more comfort, especially for passengers.

Waverunner comes with different driving modes

The 7-inch Connext touch display is one of the best on the market: GPS, driving data, an audio system, trim - everything can be operated intuitively. Bluetooth speakers, various driving modes (incl. No Wake), adjustable trim, electronic reverse gear and the tried-and-tested RiDE lever are also included as standard.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
