Owners Comments and Boat History Carpe Ahora has been based in the British Virgin Islands for the past six years, where she has been professionally managed and maintained. The current ownership has invested in ongoing preventative maintenance and thoughtful upgrades, ensuring the vessel remains in excellent operational condition.
She presents very well and is ready for immediate use, whether for private cruising, fishing, or island hopping throughout the Caribbean.
Carpe Ahora has truly been our home away from home here in the BVI. From quiet mornings at anchor to long days out on the water fishing or exploring new bays, she’s given us a level of comfort and confidence that’s hard to match.
One of the things we’ve always loved most is how versatile she is. The cockpit is a fantastic space to relax, with plenty of seating and protection from the elements thanks to the hardtop, enclosure, and air conditioning — making her just as enjoyable on a hot, still day as she is when the weather turns. The pilothouse naturally becomes the heart of the boat, where everyone gathers around the table, whether it’s for meals, drinks, or just watching the world go by.
Below deck, she feels surprisingly spacious for her size. The two cabins have comfortably accommodated family and guests over the years, and there’s more than enough storage for extended time onboard. The galley is practical and well laid out, which made it easy for us to spend days or even weeks aboard without feeling limited.
What really sets her apart, though, is the ride. She feels incredibly stable and predictable underway, which gave us the confidence to venture further afield and enjoy the journey just as much as the destination. Whether heading offshore or just hopping between islands, she’s always felt safe, capable, and easy to handle.
She’s been a huge part of our time here, and letting her go is not an easy decision — but we’re excited for her next owners to enjoy her just as much as we have.
